40 Years of Radiation Protection

Making the invisible visible. Protecting life. A journey through the history of Scienta Envinet

Radioactivity is invisible, odorless, and tasteless – yet potentially dangerous. That’s why the presence of radioactive substances must be detected at an early stage, as the consequences can be far-reaching – for people, the environment, and society.

For 40 years, Scienta Envinet has been dedicated to this challenge. As one of the world’s leading manufacturers of environmental radiation monitoring systems, we develop technologies that make the invisible visible – for greater safety and preparedness in case of an emergency. With precise, robust, and reliable measurement technology deployed as an early warning system, we detect critical developments before they become a threat – making an important contribution to protecting both the environment and the public.

Join us on a journey through the history of Scienta Envinet – from our beginnings to the present day.

💥1985 – The Beginning: Commissioned by the Federal Office of Civil Protection, the company – then known as Hörmann – modernizes and expands the German nationwide radioactivity monitoring network.
