Gamma Dose Rate Detection Systems

GMT-based Gamma Dose Rate Monitoring System

MIRA is a highly versatile and very flexible gamma dose rate monitoring system. Due to its modular design, it can be configured and used in different ways and thus covers versatile applications. It facilitates not only a gamma probe but can be extended by means of internal and external options to various gamma monitoring stations. MIRA can be deployed in both fixed installation and mobile applications. Its special features are autonomous operation capability and a highly reliable wireless data communication design.
MIRA is a gamma dose rate detection system that uses two Geiger-Müller detectors to cover a wide measurement range from 10 nSv/h to 10 Sv/h calibrated for Ambient Dose Rate Equivalent H*(10).
Applications:
  • Ring monitoring systems around nuclear facilities
  • Nationwide monitoring networks
  • Area monitoring
  • Laboratory and system monitoring
  • Temporary measurement
  • Transport monitoring
  • Civil defense and disaster control
Features:
  • Unlimited autonomous operation
  • Wireless service interface Bluetooth
  • Lightweight and extremely mobile
  • Easy to install and deploy
  • Rugged design (IP68 / IP65)
  • Different communication options: LAN, LTE/GPRS, Satellite, RS232, Radio etc.
  • Redundant data communication

  • MIRA Mobile – Autonomous Station

The MIRA mobile autonomous monitoring station is designed for quick deployment in emergencies. Due to its low weight, compact set-up and the light tripod, the monitoring station can be deposited very quickly at its destination. The integrated GPS allows for automatic determination of its position. Due to extremely low power consumption, it can be operated for many weeks with its integrated battery and for unlimited operation time with the integrated solar panel.

  • MIRA Base Unit – Fixed Station

The fixed monitoring station can be operated by mains power supply or with an additional solar panel and accumulator. In addition to the communication interfaces already provided by the MIRA detector, also DSL, WLAN and other communication options are possible on request. The stainless-steel cabinet has an IP 66 rating. The access to the cabinet is secured by a lockable door. The station can be mounted on a wall or pole.

  • MIRA Base Unit – Stationary Station

This solar power station is used for permanent installation, if no infrastructure like power grid is accessible. It can be placed directly on a flat surface using an additional mount without need of special constructions.
The power supply for the station is a combination of a solar panel with battery backup. The extended power supply allows data transmission in shorter intervals compared to the integrated solar/battery combination of the MIRA detector.

  • MIRA Base Unit XL – Stationary Station

This stationary monitoring station can be operated by mains power supply or with an additional solar panel and accumulator. In addition to the communication interfaces already provided by the MIRA detector, also DSL, WLAN and other communication options are possible on request. The stainless-steel cabinet has an IP 66 rating. The access to the cabinet is secured by a lockable door. The station can be mounted on a wall or pole.

  • MIRA Weather Mobile – Autonomous Station

The MIRA mobile weather monitoring station operates autonomously and independent of power supply and wired data communication. It is thus especially suited for emergency management tasks where the monitoring station needs to be commissioned at any location easily and quickly. With its additional multi parameter weather sensor (Vaisala WXT520), this model not only supplies gamma dose rate monitoring data but also all weather parameters.

  • MIRA Weather – Stationary Station

The MIRA weather monitoring station is a combination of the MIRA and Vaisala weather transmitter and offers the possibility of easy gamma dose rate monitoring and detailed weather monitoring. The station can be connected to a main power supply and/or equipped with a solar panel and battery as option. The MIRA collects the data from the weather transmitter and store it in its internal memory.
